i guess i still hold resentment because he was ingraffia's favorite.

| You are Augustine! You love to study tough issues and don't mind it if you lose sleep over them. Everyone loves you and wants to talk to you and hear your views, you even get things like "nice debating with you." Yep, you are super smart, even if you are still trying to figure it all out. You're also very honest, something people admire, even when you do stupid things. |
I thought Calvin was his favorite? My memory is that he was always relating everything to Calvin and Plato, even when he didn't know what he was talking about.
Posted by: Jonathan on May 24, 2004 01:45 PMOh that's right, Calvin was the fave, but he had a strong attachment to Augustine. I remember he introduced the confessions as being "near and dear" to his heart. BLEH. I should go back and read them once I've distanced myself from associating Augustine with that class.
No wonder I hardly learned anything in his class. He was never there, never returned work, was not receptive to out of class visits, and never could explain a theory if his life depended on it.
I'm still a bit sore on that subject. And I hated people like you who seemed interested in it all. Heh heh. Sorry. I had a poor understanding of critical theory. But now that we're out of class, I like you.
Posted by: jeri on May 24, 2004 01:57 PMThat's funny. I guess I stayed interested in the class because each session was a new challenge to think of a way to say "you're an idiot" nicely. The inordinate size of the class was a major problem too, I think. So liking the subject helped but also made it frustrating.
I can't say the same about the required Frankwitz class I had my last semester though. The subject bored the death out of me so I didn't do a lot of the reading and the class was full of unattractive girls and the only guy was a complete dud. Worse, it was 2.5 hours once a week. The only fun in the class was if I said something, which was rarely. I didn't get a good grade but I didn't really deserve one so I can't complain other than it wasted my time.

You are Karl Barth!
You like your freedom, and are pretty stubborn against authority! You don't care much for other people's opinions either. You can come up with your own fun, and often enough you have too much fun. You are pretty popular because you let people have their way, even when you have things figured out better than them.
