Wedding Updates

Well, kids, I have a couple of updates.

BUY US STUFF!

We are now registered at Target. You can find our registry easily at target.com. We ended up deleting a little of our Robinsons-May registry and doing mostly Target. Everything under $100! Just to make you all happy. And us too!

pretty cool. even i want to stay there!

Out of town family and out of town wedding party members (ahem, Roland and Becky) will be happy to know that they will be staying at the Hilton in Whittier, courtesy of the great generosity of Ric's parents.

Also, I picked out my cake. I will be ordering through Beverly's Best cake shop in Brea. The top and bottom layers will be white cake with American Buttercream Frosting. The middle layer will be white cake with Raspberry Buttercream filling (with some real fruit in it). The frosting will be American Buttercream. The sheet cake will be chocolate cake with Chocolate Buttercream Frosting, and will also have the American Buttercream Frosting. I like their cakes. Not TOO sweet (like the kind you want to wipe your tongue off after eating the frosting, but not too plain (their French buttercream was like water.. too boring, so we picked the more sweet one). Overall, I'm satisfied!

A word (or 26) on "mini" food processors: Just get the normal size...I got a little one and it doesn't do carrots or cheese because it might hurt it's little moter or something.

also...invest in a rice cooker. i really want one.

oh yeah, and don't forget an electic mixer -- full sized or hand held. you might THINK you won't need it...but you will. i have to whisk everything because i have none. my poor arms. =P

wendy, we did a mini and a regular, BOTH. :)

becky, my mom was ever-so-creative and already gave me an electric mixer for my birthday. and at robinsons-may, i registered for the mother of all mixers (one of those giant ones you see on cooking shows with the bowl attached).

there IS a ricecooker on there too.

we basically registered for anything we even REMOTELY thought we MIGHT be interested in. heh. even some stuff for the kitchen that we weren't sure what they were!

But if you don't know what something is, what's the likelihood you'll use it when you need to?!

Posted by: Wendy on April 30, 2003 12:39 PM

easy. i don't cook now, but once i do, i'll have to make use of a lot of things i don't use now. if i've seen it in my kitchen at home, i registered for it!

don't get me wrong. i can cook when i want to, and i'm good with baking (cookie kind of stuff). i just haven't used all the utensils that are out there.
