Right now I'm listening to the soundtrack of Amelie, which is hands-down one of the all-time best foreign movies.. It's possibly one of the better movies I've seen period. I think I should sit down and watch it again. Maybe it will give me a sense of soothing... of relaxing, and enjoying life.

One cool thing about Amelie is that my sister looks very similar to her. When we were in Paris, a lot of people would pass by, and we'd hear people saying, "Amelie Poulan!" Especially in Monmatre, where Amelie was filmed, we'd see people look at my sister and then start talking about how the movie was filmed there. Sacre Couere (dangit, I know I'm spelling that wrong... it's "the sacred heart") was a major site in the movie. My sister's boyfriend wants to name his kid Amelie. It's not a bad name. I'd take it for a middle name if he hadn't already thought of it.

Every time I watch this movie, I think of being in Paris. It really is a grand city. People talk it up in books and movies... and for good reason. There's just something about it. I want to go back.

Anyway, I'm getting my stitches out today from my wisdom teeth. When I brushed this morning, I was still bleeding some. I don't think that's good. I'm also starting to get a sore throat. All I need is more time off work. It's not a good week to get sick, since the office manager is out, and I have to do my work, her work, and all the work I missed while I was away. I'm looking at the calendar and feeling a little tense. I need to get more wedding stuff done... I've got a couple of concerts to go to this week... I need to develop some film... I need to buy new clothes... I need to buy CD cases... And I need to relax.
