One Week

Wow, a whole week since my last entry. I don't know how you young whipper-snappers do it. And what a crappy week it's been. I've been sick. I've been tired. I've been treated badly. I've been angry, hurt, and disappointed. I've been livin' a freakin' blues song all week and it sucked.

Of course I've also seen four of my fav. students back from college. I've received support from a number of expected and unexpected places. I'm having Christmas with my family tomorrow now that, THANK GOD, the week is over. So as some wise old man probably once said, "When life is the poops, don't sit and wallow in it too long; you'll get sores."

One fun part of the week was following the chain of blogs of some of my past students.

Collin - current AHS student, past journalism student
Cole - big brother and current AHS journalism success story, will probably now change his major to business or something
Ben K. or Ken B. - another Northwesterner, journalism major and very funny guy
Casey - who took journalism as a freshman and managed to write so little I don't think his gpa ever recovered
Georold - who managed to mess up his gpa without ever taking jouralism (much love g-man)
Hannah - G's big married sis who never darkened my classroom door after graduating from the 8th grade (smart girl)
Kalan - not a journalist but he survived the disasterous year that was my applied communications class (curse you swick!)
Erin - journalist from the dark side, aka yearbook; (yearbookers are the journalists that dont cause trouble)
Falco - current AHS journalist (for 2 and a half more days)

Too many to keep track of, but fun to check in on every now and then. If there's more of you out there, let me know.

I was thinking more along the lines of FACS education or something like that with a minor in drivers education
