I love the show. I learn things when I watch it (which shows how ill-informed I am). I wouldn’t call it fair or balanced. Even thought they take pokes at both sides, it’s generally pretty clear what Stewart et al think and which side they would come down on. That doesn’t bother me, it’s just something I’m aware of when I watch it.

I actually disagree….it’s definitely a news and information show. They report the news in a very “fair and balanced” manner – equally slamming all and presenting the facts without all the bs and slanted agendas of the other “news” organizations.
Three cheers for the Daily Show and any and all awards they may receive!
