This pretty much summarizes what's wrong with entertainment news media

From the Bad Astronomy blog:

Instead of asking people what they think is a greater risk in their opinion, FOX could responsibly inform people about what IS the greater risk (and not in a Could-the-H1N1-vaccine-kill-you?!-Story-at-11 kind of way, but an Actually-the-vaccine-prevents-you-from-developing-symptoms-and-there's-nothing-to-be-afraid-of kind of way). After all, this is objective, scientific truth we're talking about.

FOX News: Confusing fact and opinion since 1996.

PHSChemGuyOutstanding...and I firmly agree.

News should report what is important. Pandering to the lowest denominator from the news drives me bonkers.

I don't want a stupid, ignorant thread of discussion below ever news story.

I don't want the 6 o'clock news to lead with the five stories that got the most votes on their website (which one of our local stations does).

I want someone who knows more about the stories to tell me about them.

Tony JimenezI'm still looking for your view on the Health Care debate. You should have a separate blog for political discussions. I would comment more, but I would just offend most of your readers. I'm content just hiding in the shadows. Love you BK.

KyleYeah, I'm working on a post on health care. I just don't have as much time to write as I used to.
