The end of Boondocks?
According to the Washington Post, Aaron McGruder may give up his daily Boondocks comic strip. He's been on sabbatical for a while, and has apparently not responded to Universal Press Syndicate's requests that he let them know when he's returning.
There's some speculation about why he may not return to the strip, including his involvement in the Boondocks cartoon on Adult Swim. That would be a shame. I don't think the cartoon is nearly as funny or poignant as the comic strip. In the months after 9/11, Boondocks is one of the few things that assured me the entire country had not gone insane. It was comforting then to open the newspaper and see this:
