I am Kyle's self-indulgence

I just stumbled on a great site: blogcritics.org, "a sinister cabal of superior bloggers on music, books, film, popular culture, and technology." It actually sounds like what I've aspired to do in my own little space here. I read some of the reviews posted on the site, and these people have great taste. Also, they have an open invitation for newcomers to participate in their mega-blog, offering retailers' free promotional books and DVDs for review. "About the only stipulations we have are that you maintain a blog of your own and that you give a good effort." I'm not sure what exactly qualifies as a "good effort," but I think I'll keep this in mind, and try joining if I feel confident enough.
