Many would say (myself included probably) that Duke Nukem Forever has been dead for a long time. Even so, the news that 3D Realms, the developer of the most famous vaporware ever, has shut down pretty much puts the last nail in the coffin. A coffin which contains a few screenshots and one teaser video that didn't even include actual gameplay footage. I would just encourage any other developers out there even thinking about buying the property (if that is even possible) to take two steps back. It's done. Time to move on. Yes, I'll admit that there was still a teeny tiny sliver of hope inside me that thought maybe one day I'd actually see this game that I've been teased with since I was in high school. I'm dumb like that sometimes. If you're looking for a little perspective, this site will give it to you in spades. It's an entertaining look at the game's checkered past. In closing, if anyone out there still thinks that this game might be released, please contact me. I have some investment opportunities you might be interested in.
