Scenes From a Circuit City

I just got back from checking out two Circuit City stores in Buena Park and Fullerton. It's the final weekend before they go out of business so I figured I would see if they have anything left. If you're looking for $1 USB cables, $6 DVD-R 50 packs, and moderately priced printers you are definitely in luck. Otherwise it's probably not worth a trip. I did manage to pick up a PS2 multitap for Phil for $6 and I took advantage of the dirt cheap DVD-R's. Some old guy was about to buy one of the floor model HDTV's. I felt like I should probably try to talk him out of it, but I didn't really feel like it was my place. So I guess this is goodbye my red shirted friends. I hope Best Buy welcomes you with open arms or maybe you can get out of the retail racket all together. Maybe you and The Good Guys could open up a bar or something or start a new dot com. The future knows no bounds.

I went today, and they were down to just one rack with Ipod/Mp3 accessories (arm bands, cases) on one side, and car stereo install kits on the other. I almost bought an acrylic case for my Ipod, as it was only $1, but I didn't have cassh and didn't want to put just a buck on my debit card. Lots of people were there, all wishing there was more stuff.
