WTF of the Day: Buyer Beware at Circuit City Closeout

Customers Burned In Circuit City Closeout Sale - As Seen On NewsCenter 5 Story - WCVB Boston

Customer Gina Reis paid $1,100 for a big screen Samsung TV at the liquidation sale, only to get it home and discover it was completely unusable.

"It's shattered from here all the way up, and then on the other side as well," said Reis.

When the couple took the set back to the store ... "They said, 'Sorry, your problem, not ours," Reis said.

Wow, that is a bummer. If they're not letting people inspect the merchandise before purchasing it, that's pretty damn shady. It sounds like they aren't even inspecting returns at this point and some of them are making it back out onto the floor. If you can't open the box, maybe you can at least give it a little shake.
