The infamous Mark Cuban, of Dallas Mavericks ownership fame, is helping out on a new search engine called IceRocket.com. While Cuban is not working on day-to-day operations, he is giving a lot of creative input, and, as he says, "this is a unique way to 'design my own search engine'".

This new search engine could be a pretty useful tool. Some of the special features include thumbnail pictures of the sites the search found, quick views of the sites so that you don't have to leave the search engine, e-mail searches (you can have the searches e-mailed you to you), and statistical info regarding the site (i.e. a traffic rank, how many sites link to the site).

Could this give Google a run for it money? Doubtful, but it could at least be another useful search engine.
