So.. It's been a busy week.

At work: I think I'm going to get hired permanently. Not sure how I feel about that. One of the ladies at work had to go to emergency because of a mysterious pain in her stomach. She got doped up with morphine all day and actually came back to work the next day. Freak. I'd milk it.

Movies: Saw Enigma, about English codebreakers in WWII. Pretty entertaining and interesting. Thumbs up. Monsoon Wedding, I thought, was amazingly full of storylines and intriguing cultural issues. A lot of fun and a lot of drama. Very good. The Morgans and I rented Amores Perros. I loved it. I thought the intertwining stories and the stuff with the dogs was so involving. I was into it the whole time, and found it both humorous and heartbreaking at the same time. Also felt very realistic in a movie sort of way. Heh.

Books: Did I mention I'm reading a chronological Bible? The whole thing is lined up in the order of how the events occured. So while you're reading about David, you get to read the Psalms that he wrote as they coincided with his life. Very cool historical perspective. By the end of the year, I'll have read the Bible all the way through. Only a few pages a day. Cool, huh? I'm also reading Sartonius' (sp?) Lives of 12 Caesars... the Julius Caesar chapter. Oh, and still working on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Music: I have a major musical event in the workings (Brendan, don't make plans for the 23rd when you're in town!). So I'm listening to everything. I also went to see The Super Furry Animals play at the El Rey. They played for almost 2 hours. Good show. Their opening band was Gold Chains. He was awful. Looked like a bald version of Jack Osborne, singing about pussies and partying the whole time. He couldn't even get the crowd into it when he walked around IN the crowd.
