You listen to Ballydowse? Have we had this conversation before?

I love Ballydowse - more because of their lyrics than because of their music, but the music isn't bad either.

No, we haven't had the Ballydowse conversation before. I love their music and lyrics, but I only have their first record. I happened upon a used copy at a Christian book store, and somehow recognized that there were members of Crashdog in the band. I was also intrigued that an album produced by Steve Albini could be found in a Christian bookstore.

How does the second album compare? And do they have any more albums?

Hey punk rock dad. Nice Chicago stuff. I'm working on putting together a mix of more "classic" Chicago punk sounds. You know, Apocalypse Hoboken, Bollweevils, Naked Raygun, Pegboy, etc... Cool blog.

I also need to get my hands on some Fighters and Mushuganas stuff. I'll post the tracklist for Vol 1 of my comp as well. You have a cool blog as well. It's cool to hear from another punk rock dad.

Hey, I stumbled upon this and just wanted to let you know that a discography of most everything the Mushuganas put out will be released on Beercan Records this summer '06. Take it easy.

Thanks for the info. I see that you also have the Phenoms on your label. I saw them open for the New Bomb Turks at the Turks last Chicago gig at Fireside. They blew me away, so I'll have to look into that one as well.
