This week we had a house guest from France. I became acquainted with Francois through the b2evolution project. He created the project and continues to serve as the maintainer and principal developer. We did a bit of work on a forthcoming plugin. On the way to dropping him off at the train station we ate Gates BBQ and stopped at the Apple Store to help my sister pick out a new iMac for college. I decided to get one, too. The old PPC iMac I was using had begun to show its age.

It's that time again: time to say farewell to the treat that is Short Fridays. :(

I feel like I wasted a lot of them this year, but I guess that's what happens with the moving process. I guess it isn't a waste because I got a lot done, but I wish I had more memories of fun things.

Today Ruth and I are hitting up a movie, and maybe I'll get some shopping done too. Not really going out with a bang, but at least it's not sitting around waiting for the Gas Company to show up!

So ends the school's summer, but at least this weekend will be a blast: a yummy birthday dinner tonight, a kayaking trip tomorrow, and a baby dedication on Sunday!
