I've always avoided buying bottled water, mostly for economic reasons (a bottle of water costs a buck, while a glass of tap water costs almost nothing). But I never even considered the environmental cost. Here's what goes into producing and shipping one bottle of Fiji water:
26.88 kilograms of water (7.1 gallons) and .849 Kilograms of fossil fuel (one litre or .26 gal)
and here's what is emitted:
562 grams of Greenhouse Gases (1.2 pounds)
That's an extravagant waste to provide a single person with just a drink of water.

Today I got this. The box is much cuter in person, and the lotion is apple. Yummy!

Secret Sweetie gift-giving began yesterday! I am running all over the place delivering gifts to different people. It's nice because I'm meeting some employees I've never met, plus I get a lot of walking done. Plus, it distracts me from working on the tedious forms I have been working on in the past couple of days!
Day 1: I got some yummy snacks. They knew just what I wanted because we had all the sweeties fill out info sheets so the gift-givers weren't totally in the dark on what to buy. Original goldfish and a Pepsi are two of my favorites.
So way back in November I decided I wanted to try Blockbuster Online. Instead of totally cancelling my Netflix account, I simply put it on hold since I wasn't sure which company I would go with. I ended up sticking with Blockbuster. I forgot about the hold on my Netflix account until today when I got an e-mail saying my account has been resumed, my card has been billed, my movies are on the way, and there is nothing I can do about it. If I cancel I don't get a refund and I would even have to return my movies right away. So now I guess I have Netflix for another month. A freaking warning saying my hold is about to expire would have been nice. Meh.
