It seems like all of my weekends are completely packed these days. I just had to get pictures before I posted about it, so now you can all see what I did for the majority of my weekend:
That's about 600 balloons, pumped and hand-tied by yours truly.
In the meantime, on Saturday I worked out and then took Pip to the vet to make him a little bit less of a man. When we picked him up he was drowsy but still responsive to us, and he picked up energy mere hours after coming home. He's as rambunctious as ever and has now figured out how to get on the kitchen counter. Dangit.
Saturday for lunch we went out to eat with my family for our mother's day festivities. We went to Red Robin and my dad whined about everything the entire time. He ordered a chili burger and thought he was ordering a bowl of chili, then got mad when we ordered desert, then tried to leave like a 12% tip and I had to chip in to make up for his cheapness. Grr. The grandmother and mother were happy, at least. After lunch, while doing laundry, my sister and I ran around time trying to find plastic balloon clips for sealing the balloons, but couldn't find them for sale anywhere but the internet. Hand-tying balloons sucks!
Sunday after a lot of decorating and a quick trip to find the no-sugar section in Albertson's dessert selection (it's in the far left corner) to buy a dessert for the newly diabetes-plagued mother-in-law, we all got together for dinner, Sequence, and our sugar-free cupcakes. We brought the child over to their house and he ran around like a maniac.
I did get my first couple of Mother's Day cards. I know I only mother a kitten, but the cards were cute. Ric bought flowers too. I'm pretty sure the other culprit who left a card on my windshield was Kristen. Thanks, kids!
I'm hoping I get a tiny bit of downtime this weekend. Things have been busy lately.
If you ever wondered how desperate the average guy on MySpace is, check out the responses to this spam user. There are tons of profiles like this that feature a picture of a girl and then have a link somewhere in their bio to ads, porn, or other stuff like that. They also have tons of comments from oblivious guys who think they might have a chance with this gal they don't know.
