I never read the Hitchhiker books, so my perpsective on this movie is that of an outsider looking in on an unknown world. That being said, I really didn't think it was as hard as some critics made it seem to get the jokes. Sure, some references might have been a little bit obscure, but traveling across the galaxy is a bit out of one's element as well, don't you think?
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy has likeable characters, is creative, and is .. merely .. pleasant. I guess that's its flaw. It is adventurous, but not too much so. It is funny, but not hilarious. It contains a pretty fair amount of action and varied settings, but is often slow.
For me, it was fun to step into an imaginary world of history, space, and characters. Even though the movie wasn't perfect, it was enjoyable and worth the while to me.

Thanks to Mike for hosting, hopefully temporarily, the pod cast.

Audacity was giving me some trouble during production because of low disk space. So there are a couple places where the audio cuts out for a few seconds. Hope that's not too distracting.
I'd be interested in any thoughts about the cast, or my play.

Now that almost all of the active bloggers have switched to b2evolution, this page has become very useful: Brendoman.com: All Blogs. It's a special weblog that displays posts from all of the blogs. If you haven't started using an RSS feed reader, then this will be especially nice for finding new posts without visiting every blog. The permalink for each posts goes to the archive entry on the blog it came from.
B2evolution has several little tricks like this up its sleeve. If you see something on another b2e weblog and you want to add it to yours, just drop me a line and I'll take a crack at it. Thanks again for being willing to switch.
