Gah

Well, I think my laptop is officially dead. I'm too broke to switch to a Mac right now. This couldn't have happened at a worse time since I'm looking for jobs online and stuff. Meh. The stupid thing was working just fine then it made this odd sound and turned off. We haven't been able to get it going since. So that sucks. Other than that things are fine. I'm looking for a temporary job right now so I can save up some money while I look for a permanent job. I'm still not sure where I'll end up.

So today

So today I had a professor tell me he was impressed. I hope I pass the class.

Now though I have to write a paper on C.S. Lewis' view of Moral Law, or Natural Law, or whatever it is he will finally decide to call it. I think that I may be faily harsh on him.

Hmph

Did you know the Universal Ampitheatre is now the "Gibson Ampitheatre at Universal CityWalk"? Good to know in case you ever hear the name and are wondering. I hate that they change venue names so often. Like how Irvine Meadows is now the Verizon Amiphitheater, the Glen Helen Blockbuster Pavillion is the Hyundai Pavillion at Glen Helen, and the Wiltern is now the Wiltern LG. It's all so lame. Why can't companies just buy venues without having to change the titles? It confuses concert goers. The only time I would be down with a name change is if some company like Hooters would buy a place and name it the Hooters Amphitheater.

bauhaus at the glass house

I have been up to quite a bit since our little crash. Lots of stuff to post about.. I'll start with this:

My sister and Erika and I were lucky enough to get tickets for this show. I wish I could find a recent picture of what Peter Murphy is looking like these days. He has bright blonde hair and a devilish mustache. The band looks a little bit older, but they are all still in good shape and can still play a great show. I can't see Murphy being a boring performer any time soon. The show was filled with great music.. and stupid people in the audience. It was extremely packed, and most of the people's conversations revolved around how many lines they did before the show (which explained how loud and obnoxious they were). Everyone was super pushy and one girl in particular drove me nuts because she spent half the show on her phone with her husband (who was across the room), saying, "I'm trying to get to you, but nobody will let me through!" -- to which we responded, "There isn't any ROOM to let you through." Stupid people aside, it was a good show at a lacking venue. The Glass House has never been my favorite for sound quality, but it was nice to see such a big band in such a small venue.

Flash Game of the Day

Grant Robinson : Guess-the-google launcher

This is a fun game where the computer displays a montage of images from google image search and you have to guess the search term. My score was 288.
