I've held off on posting about this until I got a print of the above picture back from Truman's photographer. Last weekend Erika and I saw Danny Glover and Felix Justice do a show together. Justice performed as Martin Luther King, Jr. delivering one of his speeches (although it may have been pieced together from several speeches--I'm not sure) and Glover did a dramatic reading of Langston Hughes' poetry. It was a great show. Both the performances were very moving.

Erika used her connections at Truman to get us invited to a private reception after the show. Although there were lots of people there vying for the actors' attention, I was able to meet (or at least thank) each one of them very briefly. It's not every day I get close to a celebrity in Kirksville, so I (well, Erika, really--I'm too shy) asked the University photographer to get a picture for me to show off. So here you go.

Our move is officially underway. Our new nameservers should be propagating the web right now. This might take up to 48 hours. Once this happens we'll lock everything up and do one last database move in order to get all the latest posts and comments over to our new servers. Because of our new blogging software, the address of our feed on this blog is going to change. The new RSS 2.0 feed is here. The comments feed is here. Once things settle down, Danny and I will try and hack together a posts plus comments feed. Until then, sit tight.
