Opera Goes RSS - Lockergnome's RSS & Atom Tips
This is kind of cool. The new version of Opera has built in RSS auto-discovery and an RSS reader. I'll have to try it out.
Tomorrow, at around 10:30-11 I shall be leaving to go home, I will not be able to post for a while, because it is a 27 hour drive, unless I drive straight, which could be fun. So maybe I will post when I get back. Anyways, I should be having an interesting summer, I will be doing my internship, getting shoulder surgery, going to church camp, and a whole lotta fun stuff that will ensue. So I shall be having mucho funo this summer-o.
PEACE
Everyone forgot me this week. For the third freaking time in a week someone forgot about hanging out with me. These were supposed to be our "last time hanging out together" deals. And the wonderful part about it is that they don't even care. No apologies. Nothing. What a great bunch of friends I have.
WIL WHEATON DOT NET: adjectives on the typewriter
Voice Over Excitement: Yesterday, I had the coolest VO audition of my life . . . for Family Guy! They are looking for "utility players," and I got to go read about 12 different characters for them. If I book it, it will be a bigger deal to me than when I booked Next Generation. I did a pretty good job, I think. I didn't "hear myself" in several of the characters I did, and I think my obsessive watching of the show on Adult Swim and on DVD helped me out, because I know what types of characters they have -- I was able to go "bigger" than I normally would if I didn't know the show so well.
Man, how cool would that be if Wil Wheaton joined the cast of the new Family Guy episodes? Here's hoping he gets hired. I really hope the show does well this time around. It would be a major bummer if it wasn't very great after all the trouble they went to to bring it back. I'm sure it will be excellent though.
It doesn't look like we are going to be upgrading to Movable Type 3.0. The weblog world is up in arms today over Six Aparts announcement that the free version of MT 3.0 is only for one author and three blogs. The cheapest licensed version of MT 3.0 is $69.95 and that is for 3 authors and 5 weblogs. They don't even have a personal license plan for what we need, which at the moment is 13 blogs and at least 20 authors. It looks like we'll probably just stick with MT 2.661. I'm not willing to move over to another blog platform since that would be a huge hassle. I am bummed about this pricing plan thing though.
i love this time of year, because it's when i start looking for images to create the flier for International Meat Day! of course, on the site right now, it says 2004, but last year i messed up and named it 2004 instead of 2003. oh well.
but anyway, i discovered there's a World Vegan Day for us to compete with.
and i found this great random picture:

more to come on the actual details of this year's international meat day later. i'll also eventually update the 2003 info with pictures.
